Alexa M. Da Rosa, M.A., LPC, ADC

Alexa moved from San Diego, CA in order to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology while also playing collegiate softball at the University of Mobile in Mobile, Alabama. After obtaining her Bachelor of Science degree Alexa continued to obtain her Master’s of Arts Degree in Psychology while working as a full time graduate assistant for the athletic department. Alexa completed the graduate program at the top of her class.

Alexa has worked for 6 years with individuals who struggled with Opiate Addiction and other addictions including: alcohol, benzodiazepines, amphetamines, etc. Alexa was formerly the Program Coordinator of the a Transitions Program in Baldwin County that assisted high-risk youth that obtained serious criminal charges. For the past 5 years she has worked as an Outpatient therapist in many of the Mobile Public School System’s schools, providing both drug and alcohol therapy and family therapy alike.

Alexa is trained and equipped to provide services to all age groups. Alexa utilizes an eclectic approach in the therapeutic session. Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused therapy, and Existential Therapy are the most common approaches utilized. Alexa understands that no two individuals will have the same concerns or reasons for seeking therapy, so therapy is customized to the needs of each individual and designed to meet each client at the point in which they are at the time of treatment. The various approaches utilized in session are designed to treat: Anxiety, depression, PTSD, couples complications, marriage dysfunction, transitional barriers, family dysfunction, LGBTQ+ struggles, addiction, etc.
