 Lacey Moore, MS, LPC-S, MAC

Before entering private practice, Lacey acquired nineteen years of clinical experience in addictions and behavioral health.  In her professional career, she has worked in various settings including outpatient, community, school and residential services.

Lacey has been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2009, and is a Counseling Supervisor with the Alabama Board of Examiners in Counseling of the State of Alabama. She received her Master's Degree in Community Counseling and her Bachelor’s in Human Services from the University of South Alabama. Lacey is a Master’s Addiction Counselor through NADDAC, currently a member of the Alabama Counseling Association and NAADAC, the Association for Addiction Professionals.

Lacey utilizes many different types of therapeutic modalities, including: Solution Focused, Empowerment, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral, and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral techniques. In her counseling practice, she approaches therapy with her clients from a holistic standpoint, helping them identify their needs which relate to their emotional, psychological and relational health.

Providing a therapeutic relationship with each client can be a catalyst for change; by creating a non-judgmental environment, building upon their strengths, helping them develop better coping skills so that they can manage their emotions more effectively, resulting in improved self-esteem, personal relationships, and handling difficult life situations.  Lacey’s mission is to create that environment by tailoring her approach to each client individually with unconditional reinforcement, focusing on their strengths, motivations, and goals so they can recognize the possibilities for a positive transformation in their lives.
